Psalm 3:3
" but you are a
shield around me, o lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my
head."
3:8
"from the lord
comes deliverance..."
4:3
"Know that the
lord has set apart the godly for himself; the lord will hear when I call
to him."
7:10
"My shield is
god most high..."
7:11
"god is a
righteous judge..."
7:17
"I will give
thanks to the lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to
the name of the lord most high"
Do you question
your "worth" to him?
psalm 8
8:1 "o lord,
our lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"
you have set your
glory above the heavens.
from the lips of
children and infants you have ordained praise
because of your
enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
when I consider your
heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you
have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of
man that you care for him?
you made him a
little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and
honor.
you made him ruler
over the works of you hands; you put everything under his feet; all the
flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and
the fish of the sea
o lord, our lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

9:1-2
"I will praise
you, o lord, with all my heart; I will tell you all your wonders. I will
be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name. o most
high."
9:7-10
"the lord
reigns forever; he is established his throne for judgment.
He will judge the
world in righteousness;
he will govern the
peoples with justice.
the lord is a refuge
for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
those who know your
name will trust in you, for you lord, have never forsaken those who seek
you."
Never
forsake.....................wow, what a powerful promise.....do we need
to hear more. forsake means; to leave or abandon!
I mean, if I were to
say that to someone, "I will never forsake you"
you know we as
humans have broke this many times.......in some way or other. maybe not
intentionally but we have. it don't matter the reasons....our heavenly
father "never" breaks his promises.
when we take vows
as husbands & wives, we make similar promises of never forsaking,
even though we don't leave physically, have we forsaken them in other
areas?! ...
as friends, as
parents, as children to our folks and as children of god. we have broken
the promise of I won't forsake you. I think we just need to ask for
forgiveness and move forward. don't dwell on it. dwell on his love and
forgiveness that is laid upon us.
Ask the lord
today, to help you not forsake your (spouse or anyone you chose to put
here) .... in any area, help me to keep my promises to them. father god
help me to be who you want me to be.
father help me
become a better servant, help me to be aware of what I am saying, so
that I don't make promises and hurt others.
father I pray that
this message touches someone as it has touched me.
in the name of Jesus,
amen
