THE ASCENT INTO GLORY

by Praise through all things

This was a card given to me. I hope it blesses you!

The Mansion of Heaven

This world, however beautiful,
was never meant to be The place that we call home for all eternity.
And though we would not choose to leave,
a loving God knows best,
And in His time,
He lifts us to a place of peace and rest.
For He has built a mansion
where His children will abide,
Free from pain and sorrow,
forever at His side.
He said He'd never leave us
to face our trials alone,
And though sometimes we fail Him,
He never fails His own.
And even when our choices
are less than He would ask,
He knows when human courage
is unequal to the task.
We cannot judge what happens,
though tears and questions start--
We only see what's visible--
God sees into the heart--
And though there may be many things
that we cannot explain,
We can be sure it breaks His heart
to see His children's pain.
In loving arms,
He bears us to a quiet place apart
Where He mends the wounded spirit
and heals the broken heart.
And though these ones we love so much
have left our present sight
And passed into a better world
of majesty and light,
Someday we'll be together
in our Father's home above,
Where we'll thank Him for His mercy
and praise Him for His love.

I was so lost after my mom died that I went into a depression. I had lost my best friend! Normally during this kind of thing, I would go to her for guidance on how I should handle it. I was lost.

But just as I said in my testimony, God started revealing things to me left and right. I still had no idea what to do with all this.

When God revealed to me that she was there, my whole world changed. The Bible carried the answers. God became the "Center" of my life completely. We are not talking just giving my life to Him. We are talking about living for Him, day to day, minute to minute.

Oh how things changed. You would not believe how relieved I was when I gave it all to Him and it was actually gone. The problems aren't gone, but they no longer torment me.

I also would like to share with you what I wrote 8 months before my mom passed away. I read this to her and she asked me if I would read this at her funeral.

My heart is joined with my mom then and always.

Our minds worked opposite, but when it came to friendship, we were the best!

I would like to think that I have acquired some, if not all her strengths, for to me she was the strongest person I knew.

The Lord gave me the pleasure of sharing my walk with her. There were many times she could of turned her back on me and she did not. We grew together in Christ and we failed. Lots of tears were shared, but mostly laughs filled our home.

We enjoyed each other and at times hated each other. The love bonded us no matter what was happening in our lives.

We knew God's plan, or so we thought we knew.

We are at this day of pain and tears, but most of joy. Yes I said joy. Joy for all us that have come to know the Lord, we will one day be together. In different form, but the disease will be gone and sin will be no more.

I see angels surrounding us all with bright lights, trimmed in gold. We are all Praising God as one, instead of separate. What joy that day will bring to us all who know the glory of our Christ Jesus

All I know now is, the mother that was taken away from me is safe and I will be with her again. That to me is closure to this dreary day. She is now free from pain, scars and tears

We can all be happy for the peace that surrounds her.

We can only pray that the hurt will heal fast and trust in Him completely for the comfort.

For what is there to be sad for, new form will take place the day of Christ's return and she will rise as He did and be given a new body in Christ. Blessed be to those who believe!

I am writing this Feb 5th,1997, for what reason? I can imagine that on that day my mind will not be clear, with so many emotions running through me.

We need not fear for the Lord is with us, for His Word we can stand on.

For those who know of the second coming I pray my Mom's sleep is short, for only then will we all be together.

The need to witness today is a great one. The Lord is our Savior, the only way to the Father is through the Son. The only way for it is written-the time is now.

For none of us know when our time will be and I want you to have the same oneness. For Christ Jesus is for everyone who calls upon His name, but we have an obligation to Him after to serve Him and only Him.

Praise be to Him in the Highest. Thank you Father for your faithfulness. I want very much to hear those words "Well done my faithful servant, well done." Thank you Jesus amen.

I love you Mom

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2Cor 5:1

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight.2Cor 5:6-7

"Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" Acts 7:59

"I tell the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:43

"Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When He had said this, He breathed His last, Luke 23:46
